Despite coming short of a win against Canberra last weekend, head coach Jim Wilson said the undermanned squad had shown improvement, particularly with regard to shot selection.
Throw Montana Farrah-Seaton back into the mix, and Wilson believes the Lady Bandits are well-placed to give the Blues a run for their money.
“Last week we had a fair bit if improvement in terms of the synergy of the group,” he said.
“We were picking the right shots at the right time, we had some good stretches defensively, so we to continue that and if we can, we'll be a better chance of getting a win.”
Moving captain Emma Mahady to point guard and letting Steph Gorman play more off the ball is a strategy that will continue, with Farrah-Seaton's return adding more backcourt flexibility against the Blues.
