MERCY Health Albury has recognised its palliative care staff and volunteers as part of National Palliative Care Week, which ends on Sunday.

Acting nurse unit manager Claire Kemp said the service, which began in 1984, had 56 employees and 60 active volunteers.
“Our volunteers receive extensive training and play an important role in the care and support we provide to people within the hospital and the community,” Ms Kemp said.
“We are always on the lookout for more.”
