Three teams from the region were represented in the over 40s, over 50s and over 55s at the event, which attracted more than 25,000 competitors across 28 different sports.
The Border’s over 50s team claimed the bronze medal, the over 55s were narrowly beaten in the bronze medal playoff, while the over 40s had a top-five finish.
For many involved, it was the first time they had represented the region overseas at a Masters event.
Border Masters team manager Maxine Eyles, who also played in the over 55s team, said it was a very high standard of competition.
“It was really hard work, it wasn’t handed to us,” Eyles said.
“All games were very close, we had wins and draws and minimal losses from other teams.
“Across the board, to finish in the top four and make the semi-finals for a chance to go into the grand final is an achievement on its own.”
