The National Disability Insurance Scheme rolls out soon across the Border – on July 1 in Albury and October 1 in Wodonga.
Ms Oborne said through this, there would be more opportunities for employment for those who had completed the disability training.
She said there were so many different options for work roles in disability services.
This included roles as residential support workers in group homes, or working with individuals at home.
There were also centre-based services, where disability support workers supported people with disabilities with living skills, respite and day programs.
"It could also be supporting people to attend activities one-to-one, in groups or to go on holidays," she said.
"The work is rewarding and you get to work actively with people, to develop and implement programs to support people to develop skills and abilities to be able to live as independently as they can and to provide support to be able to participate and engage in their communities."
Ms Oborne said the aim was to provide a normal and mainstream lifestyle and it can be fun supporting others to participate in activities of their choice and be a part of their successes and achievements. MP Training & Recruitment will commence a new Certificate lV in Disability (CHC43115) course in July 2017.
She said this course offered the opportunity to undertake training to be able to work in the disability field and would provide learners with the skills and knowledge, workplace experiences and a qualification to be confident to engage in the disability workforce.
MP Training & Recruitment, which was formerly known as MP Personnel & Training, has offices in both Albury and Wodonga.
