James&Co opened on Thursday in the Main Street building formerly occupied by homewares store Passion Flora.
Cornishtown couple Ricky and Georgie James wanted a space to showcase their James&Co wine range and a wedding photography studio.
“It’s been eight years in the making,” Ms James said.
“We’ve been running two businesses from the kids’ TV room.”
Mr James made his first vintage under the James&Co label in 2012.
He said he sourced Beechworth winegrapes for his sangiovese, sangiovese-cabernet and sangiovese-rose and Alpine Valleys’ fruit for his pinot grigio.
“We’ll have tastings of James&Co Wines and highlight other smaller producers that don’t have cellar doors,” he said.
A wedding and events photographer, Ms James hoped to host workshops with other small businesses.
James&Co will open 11am to 6pm daily excluding Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
