Leading up to the Dart Cup this weekend, reports from the dam were a mixed bag with small fish around 300 to 700 grams, mainly trolled on a variety of Wigstons, with the odd better fish trolled down deep on Cowbell with Worms in the main basin.

The holding dam below is still okay with numbers dropping a little, however brown trout nudging two kilograms are still good fish no matter how long it takes. Plastics slow rolled and bait is the most effective way to get among them there.
Still good reports of reddies on soft plastics (Flouro Lunker City Platics) in the weir, but you really need to find them. The starting point is at 10 metres then work around the points trying to find them. Don’t spend too much time at any spot - if you don’t get them straight away they more than likely aren’t there.
Below Lake Hume is still fishing well on plastics and large pink Tassies. Quality rainbow trout and some good redfin with the odd thumping brown trout are still making it worthwhile to venture out there.
Jindabyne and Eucumbene spawning streams are just starting to see some more action as better quality fish are now heading up them. Just remember the season closes on Monday night. Blowering is fishing well for rainbow trout flat line trolling with Pink Wigstons in the Jounama end of the lake, and some good reddies on soft plastics. Have a great weekend !
