Naylan McDonell has his sights set on furthering his career opportunities and helping others.
The 24-year-old Border resident is a student of MP Training and Recruitment's Certificate lV in Disability (CHC43115).
He has been working in the disability sector since moving to Wodonga from Wagga when he was 18.
He is on track to complete the course by November.
"I am doing this course to further my career and open up more opportunities in the future," Naylan said.
"I grew up with a father working in the industry and now both my brother and myself are working in the industry.
"Being exposed to this industry at such a young age has really inspired me to do what I can to better the lives of people living with an intellectual or physical disability."

Megs Oborne - trainer and assessor at MP Training & Recruitment in Wodonga - has more than 17 years of experience as a trainer.
"Working in the disability sector is very rewarding," Ms Oborne said.
"You are able to support people to achieve their goals and improve quality of life for them in a number of different and diverse settings and services."
Naylan said in the future he would like to remain in the disability industry, however he was not completely sure in what capacity.
"However, this course is the perfect launching point as it assists with opening opportunities," he said.
"The course is great, it relies on us drawing from past experiences within the industry.
"MP Training and Recruitment has been so encouraging and supportive during my studies; Megs has a wealth of knowledge and is great at broadening your understanding.
"MP also make paying for it as easy as possible.
"They help apply for any possible funding and help set up payments to suit your financials.
"I recommend this course to anyone working in the industry who wants to further themselves and anyone wanting to get into the industry. They cater the course to best match your needs."
The National Disability Insurance Scheme rolls out soon across the Border – on July 1 in Albury and October 1 in Wodonga.
Ms Oborne said through this, there would be more opportunities for employment for those who had completed the disability training.
