So Mark Sanson is hoping his side can make the most of it at Lavington Oval on Wednesday night.
Sanson is coaching Xavier High’s senior boys in the Bill Taylor Cup grand final against Scots School, part of a massive day of football for the Albury Wodonga Senior Schools grand finals.
Nearly an entire day has been set aside for the under-14 boys, under-15 girls, under-16 boys, senior girls, Paul Kelly Cup and Bill Taylor Cup grand finals.
“We’re really excited, the kids are excited to get out under lights, it’s a great opportunity for them,” Sanson said.
“It’ll be a great day to showcase the level of talent we have in the Albury-Wodonga region.
“Scots are a traditional rival of ours, they beat us in the pool rounds so we’re keen to make amends for that.”
The Bill Taylor Cup will be broadcast by 2AY.
The first game will be at 12:30pm.
