The Mt Hotham Medical Centre will be able to offer services after 5pm and on weekends during the winter period. 

Ambulance Victoria spokesman Craig Jenkins said the money would help keep the ambulance service on the mountain to respond to emergencies. 

“It gives us the ability to keep local for things and injuries up here, rather than leaving the mountain, so it’s a lot of pressure off us.”
