TALKING CRIME: Ovens Valley MLA Tim McCurdy and Enough is Enough co-founder Tania Maxwell will appear at a law and order forum in Wangaratta next month.

A law and order forum being held to address the serious trend of crimes in Wangaratta will feature speakers from the Victorian Coalition opposition.

Ovens Valley MLA Tim McCurdy will host the forum to look at what he called “horrendous crimes” in the city, including six violent deaths in just over four years.

He invited Labor Party MPs in a bipartisan approach, but said this week speakers were Community Safety Shadow Minister Edward O’Donohue, Shadow Attorney General John Pesutto and Enough is Enough campaign co-founder Tania Maxwell.

“We cannot simply stand by while the lifestyle we enjoy in this region is threatened by increasing levels of crime,” Mr McCurdy said.

The law and order community Forum will be held on July 31 at Wangaratta Turf Club from 7pm to 9pm.
