Face with a tough three-week stretch of back-to-back games, starting with the Mikaela Reuf-led Hobart Chargers, Wilson said there was no reason the Lady Bandits couldn't compete.
“At the end of the day, it's five versus five – it's a simple game,” he said.
“If we play well, we give ourselves a chance.
“That's really all we're asking for, giving effort and paying attention to what we have to do.
“We won before the bye and lost after last year as well which is frustrating, we have to respond.”
After facing the Chargers on Friday night, the Lady Bandits will back up against the Launceston Tornadoes on Saturday.
The Tornadoes will be without Lauren Mansfield due to commitments with the Australian Opals.
