While it sounds ridiculous considering the Yackandandah full-forward has kicked 98 goals in only nine matches, the milestone could easily have been in the bag.
For the past two weeks, the Roos’ under-17 matches have been abandoned early in the final quarter due to injuries.
The 15-year-old also missed a game earlier in the season due to injury.
“It’s been a bit frustrating but there’s not much you can do about it.” he said.
“Hopefully I can get it out of the way early on Saturday.”
Hillary has averaged over 10 goals a match this season and is odds-on to bring up his century in the opening term at Rutherglen on Saturday.
His biggest haul was a 15-goal bag against Barnawartha in round eight.
It’s been a remarkable rise for the youngster who spent last season playing across half-back to improve the defensive side of his game.
Hillary has had no shortage of help with his father and coach, Ross, cracking the ton on four occasions during his decorated career.
While the Albury High School student is well within reach of his father’s best season of 114 goals, he has a long way to go to match his cousin, Aaron Purcell.
Purcell booted 222 majors playing for Jerilderie in 2013.
