Chairwoman Sue Paini said the new brand, BeyondHousing would be launched in Wangaratta on Monday.
“RHN was formed in 1998 and became a housing association in 2007, housing people throughout north east Victoria and the Goulburn Valley,” Ms Paini said.
“Our mission has evolved to provide support, housing and advocacy for people at risk of homelessness and those in private rental experiencing housing stress.
“This contemporary approach requires a modern name and presentation.
“We feel BeyondHousing expresses what we do well – we assist people beyond simply their housing needs.”
Chief executive Celia Adams said people without affordable and safe accommodation often require support in other areas of their lives.
“People coming to us may need assistance with managing finances, be dealing with family violence, health and mental health issues, addiction or be involved with child protection services,” she said.
“The holistic provision of a wide variety of services and collaboration with other agencies reflects the values of BeyondHousing.
“And once people have safe, affordable housing, evidence shows they are better able to engage in day to day activities for them and their families.
“In this way, a home enables people to go beyond where they have been.”
Ms Adams said services, phone numbers, office locations and staff won’t change.
