A Rex spokeswoman said the flights from Sydney and Melbourne, due at 9.20am and 9.25am respectively, could not land at Albury because of the conditions.
The plane from Melbourne eventually landed in Wagga at 10.05am while the Sydney flight arrived at 10.40am.
“In cases like that, passengers would either be transferred to a flight or bussed back,” the spokeswoman said.
Qantas, Virgin and JETGO arrivals and departures were also delayed on Monday.
