In the first punishment handed out by the commission, the club was found guilty of unintentionally exceeding the points limit against Milawa.
The Demons were awarded the match and Goorambat and District was fined $500.
The fine was suspended until the end of the 2018 season.
Goorambat won the round eight match by 32 points at Milawa on June 3.
In imposing the penalties, the commission took into account the unintentional nature of the breach and honesty of the club during the investigation.
The Longwood Football Netball Club was fined $15,000 and coach Nick Brown suspended for 10 matches by the AFL Goulburn Murray Commission for a breach earlier this month.
