Holman suffered a hamstring injury in the record 116-point loss to Wodonga.
“It’s just tightness in the hamstring, so I’ll give myself every chance to get up for this week,” he said.
“We’ve got the bye the week after, so we’ll just assess what will be the right way to go.”
Holman hobbled off late in the first quarter and at the 10-minute mark of the third term, so it would surprise if he played against Myrtleford on Saturday.
Nick Sheridan also limped off early in the second, while captain Luke Garland was proppy late in the second stanza.
When Jack Harland smashed into the goal post midway through the third and stayed down for some time, it summed up the Panthers’ plight.
He too ended the game with a knee injury.

- Nick Holman
The club was already missing 11 automatic selections, including Brant Dickson (knee), Adam Flagg (thumb) and John Hunt (knee).
“We know we’re backs to the wall,” Holman said.
“We thought we could match it with these guys, but after a loss like that, it really hurts and we’ll need to rebound quickly.”
Lavington was third heading into the Wodonga game.
It it falls to Myrtleford, it could well be seventh.
The Panthers last missed finals in 2010 and have finished in the top three after the regular season the last four years, losing to Albury in the past two deciders.
