With the Giants shaping as one of the most improved sides in the competition by posting four wins this season, Aalbers’ contract has been extended by 12 months.
Club co-president Allan Thomas is confident Aalbers has the club heading in the right direction.
“It’s a young team, the results have been promising and Myles has had a lot to do with that,” Thomas said.
“We have been in a lot of games this year.”
Rand-Walbundrie-Walla and Culcairn will lock horns in a crucial match at Walbundrie on Saturday.
Tim and Dane Hallinan, Jye Shields and Nick Wright will be difficult to hold on the big ground while the Giants will bank on Aalbers, Nick Turner and Todd Miller kicking a winning score.
Howlong will look to regroup with a win over Holbrook.
The Spiders have slipped to seventh spot after five straight losses.
