The small community has a thriving all girls Auskick program, supported by players from the Wodonga Raiders Youth Girls team.

Chelsea Styan and Elyse Crimmins have been volunteering their own time to help teach the youngsters the basics. 

“It’s really positive for little girls to see they can keep playing footy after Auskick,” organiser Leah Bowles said.

“The personal qualities, footy skills and encouragement from Elyse and Chelsea are providing them with impressive role models for their future development as women in our community. 

“Both clubs have been so welcoming and I think this will be the start of a new affiliation in local women's footy at the grassroots level.”

The Baranduda girls played at half-time during last week’s Wodonga Raiders Youth Girls game, while the entire Baranduda Auskick group heads to the MCG on Sunday to play at half-time of the Hawthorn and Collingwood clash.
