The Savoys sit three points clear on top ahead of Albury United and five points clear of the Roar in third.
Myrtleford co-coach Matt Park admits there will be just as much at stake for both sides.
“There’s pressure because we’re on top and Cobram want to jump up, but, at the same time, if Cobram don’t happen to get the three points, it leaves them eight points behind us,” Park said.
“The fact we won the cup last year and came second meant, from the get go, the top teams were the hunted teams.
“I think we’ve dealt with it fairly well this year.”
Park said the side was made to work harder than it expected to get the points against St Pats last weekend and is expected a fired up Cobram outfit to provide a stern test after its 3-2 loss to United.
However, Cobram will be without leading goal scorer Bill Puckett for the contest.
“It would have been nice for a draw last weekend, but United got the win, they’re one of those sides that keep grinding till the end of the year,” Park said.
“We know we need to keep winning matches if we want to be up there come the end of the season.”
