Munson, who played for Turvey Park this year after five seasons with the Labrador Tigers, agreed to terms with the club over the weekend after it recently missed out on securing Albury’s Daniel McAlister.
Munson, 28, said yesterday he was looking forward to taking over from outgoing coach Graham Hart, who led the Cats to two flags and two runners-up in his four years in charge.
“I can’t wait,” Munson said.
“From what I have heard
Osborne is a good club and it’s a great opportunity.
“I’m looking forward to having a go at coaching.”
Munson was one of the Riverina league’s most electrifying players this season as a midfielder-forward before being struck down by injury late in the home and away series.
He will have plenty of support
as he starts his coaching career
with former Coolamon and Albury player Luke Moloney signing as assistant coach and former premiership players Leigh Schneider and Owen Gooden returning to the club.
Munson left Corowa-Rutherglen in 2004 after about 80 matches.
The former Tocumwal youngster expects Osborne to keep the bulk
of its list together with Hart and Kerry Bahr being the most notable departures.
