With the Magpies four premiership points and percentage clear of their opponents with three rounds remaining, coach Craig Bosley said the moment of truth had arrived.
“It’s a huge game for both sides,” Bosley said.
“We need another win to make sure of playing finals so hopefully we can tick off that box on Saturday.
“We’ve beaten them this season but Cudgewa seem to be playing a lot better football lately.”
The clash between Magpie star Dan McCarthy and Cudgewa workhorse Mitch Pynappels in the midfield is expected to be pivotal.
They are among the best running players in the competition and have the ability to push forward and kick goals.
Corryong should record a comfortable win over Tumbarumba.
Ladder leader Bullioh will have the answers against Federal.
