The odd cod and yella are being caught on both bait and lure.
But there’s probably more fishos chasing the crays than fish, with a fair bit of success I might add.
Below the wall is well worth a try if you’re chasing a trout.
In fact, the river right through to Albury has been pretty good.
Just find yourself a decent gravel bar and toss around your favourite little minnow or spoon and you might be surprised!
Mulwala
Mulwala has slowed slightly but there’s still some really nice cod about, particularly if you want to make the effort during the darker hours using wake baits and swimbaits.
Blowering is pretty much the same, some great fish being caught but there’s plenty of casts between them.
Most success is found during the hours of darkness or an hour or two either side using a variety of large hard bodies or big soft plastics.
But it’s not a place for the faint-hearted, with temperatures obviously pretty low at the moment.
The rewards are there though with a lot of the cod coming in being over that magic metre mark!
Catch you next week!
