Myrtleford co-coach Jayden Vescio couldn’t be more upfront about the long-standing rivalry between the Savoys and Wangaratta, which will come to life again on Sunday for the Darrel Van Der Steeg Memorial Shield.
“It’s good that two rivals can who battle pretty fiercely for 90 minutes can still remember a great of both clubs,” Vescio said.
Midfielder Nathan Mirt is a chance to return from injury, but there’s plenty of competition for spots.
“When you’ve won the last seven straight, it’s not the easiest team to get a gig in at the moment,” Vescio said.
