The Hoppers kicked their highest score and racked up their biggest win of the year with a 19.13 (127) to 9.7 (61) triumph.
“Lachie Taylor-Nugent did a really good job on James Lawton,” North co-coach Clinton Gilson said of his interleague forward.
“He’s only been doing it (defence) the last couple of weeks, just to give us a bit of drive and a bit of leadership, we’ve been getting smashed down back.”
Lawton kicked three goals, while Gilson himself had 33 touches.
The Roos face three finals contenders in the run home.
