If temperatures reach the Bureau of Meteorology’s prediction, Saturday will be the hottest day of July.
Currently last Sunday was the warmest day this month reaching a top of 14.9 degrees.
Despite a couple of warmer days, snowfields are still experiencing snowfall with Mount Hotham recording 8cm overnight Sunday and Falls Creek reporting 11cm.
On Monday, Falls Creek reported natural snow depths at 83cm.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 17 degrees on Saturday in Wangaratta, with a chance of showers across the week.
Snow showers are predicted throughout the week for Falls Creek, with temperatures predicted between -4 and 2 degrees.
Mount Hotham is predicted to reach a chilly minimum of -5 degrees on Thursday and before a maximum high of 4 degrees on Sunday.
Albury-Wodonga may reach a low of 1 degree on Thursday and Saturday, with a chance of showers continuing throughout the week.
