Laura and Claire shaved their heads in memory of a dear school friend, who they lost to leukaemia.
It was a show of how the small southern NSW community could rally together in a bid to support an important cause.
Their friends, family and community came together to support the ladies, with locals putting their hands up and shaving their heads too.
When Laura and Claire auctioned a dinner party – they raised $1600 towards their cause.
With thousands of participants in NSW and the Australian Capital Territory, Laura and Claire’s amazing fundraising efforts are no small feat – seeing them take out a Top Fundraiser position.
Every day, 35 people will be diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders and they’ll turn to the Leukaemia Foundation for help.
The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national charity dedicated to helping those with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders survive and then live a better quality of life. It exists only because of the generous and ongoing support of the Australian community.
