The truths, lies, and secrets of Catherine McKinnon's characters are laid bare in gripping and occasionally brutal fashion, taking the audience with them on a twisting and turning ride through the trauma of a child being injured and taken to hospital.
Taking place in a hospital waiting room, the characters of Mel, Alex and Dominic, played by Meredith Penman, Gabrielle Scawthorne and Christopher Stollery respectively, unravel the connections between them, in all their gory detail.
It's a powerhouse performance from the cast of three, bringing extraordinary life to the struggles and contradictions of their characters they portray.
Penman's performance as Mel stands out in particular – she's equally chaotic, urgent and sympathetic as a mother in fear for her child's safety.
