Former Corowa and Urana councillors and aspiring first-timers from all corners of the newly formed council areas have aligned themselves with the Federation Voices group formed earlier this year.
Election tickets have been confirmed to run in Mulwala, Howlong and the former Urana Shire.
Former Corowa councillors Francesco Bruinsma, who is also the Federation Voices chairman, and Fred Longmire will also team up in Corowa with Norm Wales and Ian Kreutzberger to be standalone candidates.
The Mulwala ticket is headed by Bronwyn Thomas and also includes Peter and Liz Seeliger, Allan Bridges and Robert Purtle.
A Howlong ticket has also been formed and headed by former Corowa Shire deputy mayor Mark Shields, Malcolm Goldsmith, Peter Opitz, Lisa Snowton and Louise Shields.
As revealed last week, a Urana ticket will consist of Pat Bourke, John Doyle and Joan Palmer with two other candidates to be revealed.
Mr Bruinsma said Federation Voices candidates aimed to unify the community and had copied some of the Voices for Indi strategies including kitchen table conversations in reaching out to residents.
“The community is not being heard any more in the way they should be,” he said.
“It’s what needs to happen.
“The council is run by the councillors and not the general manager and staff which has been the case for the last two years.”
The Federation Council election field could top 30 with nominations officially opening on Monday and closing on August 9.
The last time an election was held in the former Corowa Shire was in 2008 after retiring trio in 2012, Gary Poidevin, Bill Bott and Jan Doyle were replaced by Paul Miegel, Mrs Palmer and Mr Bruinsma.
