Bormolini, who is the head coach of Australian Biathlon, held roller-ski training sessions with cross country competitors from Victory Lutheran College earlier this week.
He followed up with small bore rifle shooting at the refurbished multi-purpose range with students from Victory Lutheran College, Grace Christian College and The Scots School Albury instructed on the finer points.
Bormolini has made several visits to the shooting range and believes it has huge potential once the first stage of development is completed for the sealed track for roller skiers and disabled athletes later this year.
He said many European nations would be envious to have such a facility so close to a major centre.
Biathlon is becoming more and more popular in Border schools with officials hopeful the range will go from strength to strength.
