Some areas going better than others

RELEASED: Connor Heir shows off a nice cod he caught on a Kuttafurra mudhoney while fishing the Murray River. Elsewhere, there's only 21 sleeps until the Victorian trout season opens, and at this stage it’s looking great.

Dartmouth – is still great. Troll on top with Tassies or fenders and scrubbies for best results.

Hume – is still a bit patchy, but a few trout have been showing up here and there. Davern Neil landed three good fish Tuesday arvo on Tassie Devils near the wall with the best a 630mm model. The Tallangatta area has also been producing some nice trout.

The Wall – went well again all week. Those brave enough to venture out in the rain early in the week deserved a few and most caught just that.

Mulwala – has been patchy, but still a couple of decent fish have been caught on wake baits.

Eucumbene – is the spot to spin off the bank at the minute.
