Pasquali was one of seven Victorians brought into the Young Socceroos setup to prepare for the upcoming AFC under 19s championship qualifiers.
Wangaratta assistant coach Mario Antonello said Pasquali is now starting to get the recognition after years of hard work.
“We’re really hoping he pushes on and makes the team and he’s eligible for selection for the Australian under 19s later in the year,” Antonello said.
After two appearances for Melbourne Victory in 2016, Pasquali signed with Dutch club Ajax, where he is currently in the middle of a two-year deal.
“There’s a good article kicking around at the moment about the top 20 players that are under 20 in the Dutch comp and he’s listed in there as number five,” Antonello added.
“He’s definitely heading in the right direction.”
