The Bulldogs sit two wins out of the top five with just three games left.
They trail fifth-placed Wodonga Raiders by a percentage of only seven, so thumping wins over the Roos and battling North Albury the following week can only help their chances of an unlikely finals berth.
Wodonga hammered the other struggling outfit in Wangaratta Rovers in round 14, but then suffered a 39-point loss to Wangaratta.
However, the Bulldogs kicked seven goals to three in the last term, so that could prove crucial.
Wodonga has named six inclusions, including Dylan Beattie, who hasn’t played seniors for two months due to a broken thumb.
Interestingly, the Bulldogs have named the exciting Hamish Hallahan as an emergency.
Hallahan was one of the few players to trouble Wangaratta with his pace.
