Berrigan rural supplier Dawmac Industries will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a trade day on Wednesday, August 16.
John Lane, who joined his parents Malcolm and Dawn at the family business in 1974, said the event would feature many suppliers as well as entertainment and giveaways for the business’s many loyal customers.
He said the business had expanded over the years as demand changed.
“It’s been slow but steady growth,” he said.
“Farming has been the backbone of the business … and the demands from farmers has changed.
“The amount of product that is now available is just phenomenal.”
The trade day, held at the Dawmac premises in Chanter Street, will run from 1pm to 5pm and will also feature popular southern Riverina-based country singer Ray Macartney.
