It follows an alleged incident involving the Pies’ mentor and AFL North East Border field umpires’ coach Shane Downie, approximately 30 minutes after the 39-point win over Wodonga on July 29.
Wangaratta’s Matt Kelly had been reported in the final term and was charged with making contact on Wodonga’s Connor Brodie, who had his head over the ball.
Kelly was found guilty at the tribunal on Wednesday night and suspended for one week.
Stone was quizzed on the incident after the game, but wouldn’t comment on the matter.
The investigation officer had 10 days to conduct an inquiry, but he can ask for the same extension, if needed.
Meanwhile, another investigation has just finished with North Albury co-coach Daniel Leslie set to face the tribunal on Wednesday night.
Leslie will face a charge of unbecoming conduct.
Corowa-Rutherglen asked the league to investigate an alleged incident involving Leslie and the Roos’ Jay O’Donoghue on July 22.
It’s believed there’s no footage of the third quarter moment.
A number of players were involved in a melee, near the boundary, when O’Donoghue’s father Mark jumped the fence.
At no stage though did Mark, a Roos’ premiership player, touch any player.
The investigation covered only the players, although the O and M did call on the Roos to take appropriate action against Mark O’Donoghue.
Leslie will face the tribunal on Wednesday night, but is eligible to face Wangaratta on Saturday.
The 34-year-old, who will step down from the coaching role after round 18, is scheduled to finish the season just one game behind Hoppers’ games record holder, Stan Sargeant.
Sargeant played 289 games.
