Aspect Riverina School’s Christmas In July Fundraising Ball late last month at Commercial Club Albury raised $43,000.
Parents and friends committee treasurer Yasmin Keating said the committee was “ecstatic” about this result.
“Our target was $24,000 so to get in excess of that, the support was marvellous with the businesses in town and getting the exposure for the school was very important,” she said. “We’re still trying to get out there for families to understand that there is an autism service in Albury.”
The committee is getting quotes to purchase the intended Smart Screens but will also look at buying other equipment, such as for the playground or computing.
“There will be things on that wish list that we can get, which is great,” Mrs Keating said.
The ball attracted 222 guests, a mixture of local business people and school community members.
