A host of leading players including Ben Paton, Laitham Vandermeer, Mark Marriott, Zane Barzen, Alex Paech and Tom Boyd have returned as the Bushrangers attempt to bounce back from their disappointing last round defeat.
Lavington’s Logan Hamilton will debut as the 23rd player.
“It will be the strongest team we have had for a while,” coach Leon Higgins said.
“Our backline is a lot stronger when you put Ben Paton, Alex Paech and Tom Boyd into it.
“At one stage we had four bottom-age players in our backline in our last game which was pretty inexperienced.”
Key position player Jacob Koschitzke will miss with a groin injury.
The Bushrangers are coming off their worst performance of the season when they surrendered a 43-point lead at three-quarter-time to lose to Greater Western Victoria Rebels by six points.
“Geelong is one of the best running sides in the competition and we will have to match them there,” Higgins said.
The match starts at 10.30am.
