Some decent fish if you can wait it out

AMAZING: It's sure been cold out there, as this spectacular shot taken by reader Michael Boyle during a weekend fishing trip to Eucumbene shows. Send your fishing photos, along with a few details, to 0475 947 279.

Up at Blowering, there’s been a few big cod about, trolling medium to large hard bodies or flicking wake baits or big softiess. But they’re a bit tough.

Same story on the reddies up there. You’ll get a feed but they’re not going gangbusters.

RIPPER: Rhys Wilson caught this 68cm trout while casting a soft plastic on the Murray River near Albury. Rhys is among those who have had a good run lately.

Don’t forget, Blowering’s an alpine lake, meaning you have to have a lifejacket on at all times. Khancoban is much the same – it’s also an alpine lake too, so don’t forget to be prepared.

Albury/Wodonga Sport Fishing Club paid it a visit last weekend and, despite the conditions, did pretty well with 29 trout landed.

Most were on the troll, and rapalas did a lot of the damage.

Catch you again next week.
