The officer was one of 226 new police recruits to graduate from the Goulburn police academy on Friday.
The probationary constable will move to the rank of constable after a year in the job.
The officer will start work in the Albury region on Monday and cover a range of roles.
NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said the new recruits would be an integral part of the community.
