The undefeated City outfit took down Albury Hotspurs 4-0 on Sunday to rule out Boomers’ mathematical hopes of sneaking away with the crown.
Boomers were put to the test against Albury United after conceding in the first minute of the game, but prevailed 5-2 winners and will finish the home and away season in second spot.
Isabella Claxton finished with two goals to help get Boomers over the line.
The result allowed Wodonga Diamonds to jump back into third spot after its 7-1 victory against the bottom-placed Cobram.
St Pats won the remaining game of the round after it proved too strong for Melrose, 4-1, while Wangaratta and Myrtleford enjoyed the bye.
