PERFECT conditions greeted competitors at Nail Can Hill for the final round of the Riverina Alpine Mountain Bike intra-club series on Sunday.

More than 60 competitors took on the course, deciding the series held between clubs from Albury-Wodonga, Mt Beauty, Bright and Wangaratta.
Though pristine conditions at the snow proved impossible to resist for a few regular competitors, event organiser Greg Boyall said it had been a cracking day.
“The weather held out for us and we got a good day of racing,” he said.
“We had a bad run with weather this time last year and were concerned it would happen again, but it came up perfectly.
“Riders came from as far as Wagga and Shepparton this year.”
Chris Doe took the top prize in the 40 and over category, while Tory Thomas was quickest in the sport female division.
Winner of the junior boys competition was Patrick Lalor.
