Year nine students completed case studies on a piece of poetry on which they had to create a visual representation of the poet’s work.
They were able to travel to Albury last week to see their display – an opportunity English teacher Craig Jory said was extremely important.
“Kids often can’t see a purpose in writing at school, they write for their teacher or because they have to, so giving them an opportunity to produce something where they see an end result is really helpful,” he said.
“Access to Albury resources is a problem, so being here is important.”
