Nominations for the 2018 Cultural Heritage Awards are open, with the scheme now to run every second year.
“It’s never been just about physical buildings, but we’ve tried to make it more obvious, I suppose, that it’s not,” he said. “Cultural heritage includes folklore, traditions, language and knowledge as well as buildings, monuments, landscapes, streetscapes, books, works of art and artefacts.”
Nominations will close on December 8, with the awards due to be presented next April.
