Russell has been charged with striking North Albury youngster Liam Williams during the opening quarter of last Sunday’s clash at Bunton Park.
Sixth-placed Wodonga must defeat Yarrawonga at J.C. Lowe Oval on Saturday to be a chance of replacing Lavington in the top five.
The Panthers must account for Wodonga Raiders to be safe.
Meanwhile, Wangaratta coach Dean Stone will front the tribunal after being charged with unbecoming conduct towards AFLNEB umpire coach Shane Downie.
The alleged incident happened after the Magpies’ recent win over Wodonga.
The tribunal has outed Albury’s Sam Schulz, Wangaratta’s Matt Kelly and Hopper Dan Leslie in recent weeks.
The hearings will be held at Albury’s SS&A Club from 7pm on Wednesday.
