Thurgoona co-coach Jamarl O’Sullivan was quick to dismiss any concerns from his side’s 45-point loss to Barnawartha in the last game of the home and away season.
“It’s never good to lose, but it was probably good timing for us,” O’Sullivan said.
“We’re confident it was just a bit of a reality check, but come the weekend we’re playing for keeps.”
Despite having the last weekend off after finishing as minor premier, O’Sullivan said the side hasn’t been dwelling on its most recent performance.
Major changes aren’t expected in the Bulldogs’ camp, but they are hopeful of regaining injured star Sam Cross for the finals, who hasn’t played since July 8 against Yackandandah.
