The possibility is now only a win away for Albury City, who face Wodonga Diamonds at La Trobe to cap off the perfect season.
After wrapping up the league last weekend, City wants to remain focused and take winning form into the cup finals.
“We weren’t really happy with our last game against Diamonds and how we played,” City’s Brogan Broadway said.
“We know they step up in the big games and we’re very aware of how capable they are.”
City defeated Boomers in a thrilling cup final last season, but Broadway believes the team has improved even more since then.
“We had a better attitude going into the season in general and we’re different in terms of how we’re approaching games and how we reflect back on them,” Broadway said.
