It will be the international chart-topping superstar’s first appearance at the iconic Australian outdoor concert series, which returns for its 15th summer in the North East.
The 2018 concert line-up which has been confirmed on Thursday, August 31, also features Pete Murray, Busby Marou, Alex Lloyd and Karise Eden.
Eden will make her A Day On The Green concert debut when she joins the star-studded show at All Saints.
The powerful soul singer who won Australia’s first series of The Voice, shares the stage with some of the biggest names in Australian music and international chart-topper James Blunt.
Busby Marou, Rockhampton duo Thomas Busby and Jeremy Marou, come to Wahgunyah after touring with Elton John this September and October while Murray and Lloyd have been household names on the Australian music scene for many years.
Blunt is currently touring North America with Ed Sheeran but is looking forward to returning to Australia with his The Afterlove Tour.
“Australia has always been the most fun part of every world tour I’ve ever done,” Blunt says.
“The fans at the shows have always given me the warmest of welcomes. I can’t wait to get back.”
Blunt first captured the world’s attention in 2005 with his multi-platinum debut Back To Bedlam, featuring its history-making number one classic single You’re Beautiful.
He has gone on to become one of the most popular singer-songwriters of the modern era, with more than 20 million albums and 12 million singles sold worldwide.
He has also been the recipient of a remarkable range of top honours, including five Grammy Award nominations, two BRIT Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards (honouring British music and songwriters), and a host of MTV Awards.
Since his first visit to Australia in 2005, Blunt has kept audiences spellbound with his heartfelt poignancy fused with touches of his classic, self-deprecating sense of humour.
Fans at All Saints can expect songs from his latest album as well as his impressive catalogue of hits including Bartender, You’re Beautiful, Goodbye My Lover, Carry You Home, No Bravery, 1973, Wisemen, Stay The Night and Bonfire Heart.
“Playing live is what being a musician is about,” he says.
“The charts or units sold are nothing to do with being a musician. Getting up onstage and taking people on an emotional journey is the purpose of being here in the first place.”
In 2015 Blunt was a judge on The X Factor.
Tickets for the All Saints concert go on sale through Ticketmaster from 10am, Monday, September 11.
