After playing 11 matches for the Pigeons during the home and away series, Howe has been called up for the cut-throat VFL final at Port Melbourne.
He is expected to partner Magpie giant Mason Cox in the ruck.
"I have played the majority of the year with Yarrawonga so it will be a bit strange not playing there on the weekend, but obviously it's an exciting opportunity as well playing in a VFL final,” Howe said.
“I’m looking forward to it.
“It is what it is I guess. Hopefully both sides can win.”
Howe has played five matches for Collingwood’s VFL side this season and will run out with players of the ilk of Jarryd Blair, Jesse White and James Aish on the weekend.
“It should be good,” he said.
“We have a bit of flexibility in our side but I’d say I’ll ruck and play up forward.”
Howe is likely to have Richmond talls Shaun Hampson and Ivan Maric as opponents.
Former Corowa-Rutherglen player Ryan Garthwaite has been named in a back-pocket for the Tigers after playing 17 home and away matches.
Anthony Miles will use the clash as a chance to earn a recall with Richmond’s AFL side.
