Erin McNair put Magpies in front, but Falcons were quick to reply through Steph Bracher.
Falcons took the lead in the second half with a tomahawk shot from Emma Pontt, before McNair converted a penalty corner on the final siren to produce a draw, which ultimately wasn’t enough for Magpies to move through.
The Bulldogs will take on Magpies for a spot in the grand final against Falcons after it defeated Norths 3-1.
Wodonga produced a shock 3-2 win against minor premiers CR United to move to the men’s decider.
Two goals from Andrew Monte wasn’t enough for United, as Hugh Cullen, Ronan Myryylainen and Wodonga coach Josh Pritchard each found the back of the net for the Bulldogs.
Norths will take on United next week after eliminating Magpies with a 5-0 win.
