Design business Kat & Fox founder Katharine Rattray, of Wodonga, claimed AusMumpreneur Network Excellence Award runner-up while BRIE Corporate founder Rebecca O’Brien took out a bronze in the Retail Business category.
Ms Rattray said she was thrilled to be the runner-up in her category against a talented field.
“Winning silver was the icing on the cake for me,” she said.
“It came as a huge surprise as I was up against some other remarkable women.
“Many of the women had a story to tell of what it was like for them at the start; a lot had to face difficult barriers and overcome these resulting in a business that make a difference.
“These strong women inspire me, they are now friends and helping hands guiding me along the way.”
The eighth annual AusMumpreneur Awards comprised 20 categories, with 16 judged and four open to public voting.
