As the region’s oldest and most trusted source of local news and community information, The Border Mail is now faster and easier to read on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
Designed to be accessible on any device, the enhanced bordermail.com.au has adaptive features that make it simple to get your favourite local news on the go, wherever you are.
The sleek design and streamlined functions are optimised for faster page and story navigation and a more engaging user experience, plus easier sharing on your social network.
Drawing on the Albury-Wodonga-based news team led by The Border Mail's editor, Xavier Mardling, bordermail.com.au will continue to deliver the regular local news, sport, comment and community updates the region's audiences have come to expect and trust.
The site’s new advertiser opportunities will allow Border businesses to reach bordermail.com.au’s significant and growing online audience.
The digital-first publishing technology used by The Border Mail since 2015 is at the forefront of newspaper and website production worldwide, allowing local journalists in the field to publish news online as it happens.
South-West NSW group managing editor Paul McLoughlin said the revamped bordermail.com.au would continue to provide a proudly local perspective on the region’s people, places, issues and events.
“The Border Mail has a well-earned reputation as one of Australia’s leading newsrooms – the enhanced website will ensure the reader experience will ensure it continues to match community expectations,” Mr McLoughlin said.
“Our commitment to providing your favourite local reading isn’t changing.
“That includes our in-depth coverage of breaking news and important council and community issues.
“Local news plays an important role in helping to keep people in regional areas connected.”
Visitors to bordermail.com.au can submit sports results and letters to the editor, place an advertisement and read the classifieds.
The print edition of The Border Mail is published Monday to Saturday and the cover price of the paper remains unchanged.
